Hi and welcome to Truthaholic! First off, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to check out my site! With all the distractions online it is truly amazing we get anything done…so thanks for checking me out!

Now for my mission statement…hmmm, where do I begin? I’ve never written a mission statement before so I have no clue where to start. I guess I am supposed to tell you who I am, why I started this site and what I hope to accomplish. Those are some pretty deep questions for me, as I take all of my passions to heart. I will try not to be too heavy-hearted with my answer.

First off, my name is Sherrie Adams and I am a singer/songwriter and small business owner from Chicago. I am not a trained writer. I am actually not a “trained” anything; I am the queen of “winging it.” My whole life has been a series of me doing the opposite of what everyone else does, and having no real idea what I am in for. So why stop now? The world is going in a superficial, stupidity-glorifying direction, so why not be real and smart instead?

My whole life I’ve often wondered why I see things a certain way and others don’t, and why I question things that others openly accept. I find that with every new person I meet and every new situation that happens, comes an influx of growth, wonderment, disbelief, humor, and a plethora of questions. Most of my questions are in pursuit of what is really going on. I don’t think everyone is obsessively self-aware and analytical like me, thankfully, and therefore I don’t think everyone thinks about what their intentions are. I feel I am constantly bewildered and unfortunately annoyed by many peoples’ behavior…and instead of being a bitchy recluse, I choose to find humor and share my opinions with you! Sometimes a morsel of insight is buried underneath the humor and it helps me cope!

So as you can see the search for truth and humor began naturally so Truthaholic was kind of the next logical step. I think everyone has important and cool stuff to say; they just need to write it down and organize it. That’s what I am doing with Truthaholic. Whew, so I guess that is my really long answer to the question of WHY I started this site.

The next question is what I hope to accomplish with this site: I want to inspire and be inspired, and to connect with others in a non-Hollywood, no-nonsense way. It wouldn’t be bad if we all got a good laugh at how totally ridiculous life can be and maybe, just maybe it could create movement in a positive direction!
